What to Expect
Sample 4-Week Training Outline
Training includes:
- Initial 45-minute goal-setting session
- 4 90-minute reflection sessions
- 1 facilitated skill or behavioral inventory of choice with access to tool and results
- Personalized online Manager Practice workbook, exercises and prompts
Anticipated Outcomes:
- Participant is familiar with management concepts including influence, conflict styles and resolution, motivation, check-ins and coaching, managing up, strategic goal-setting, and key performance indicators
- Participant articulates their personal approach to management to supervisor and team
- Participant understands team members’ motivations
- Participant is able to describe organizational culture
- Participant is able to apply concepts to daily management tasks
- Participant and manager design a process for decision-making and change initiatives
- Participant produces a plan to move a specific goal forward
Commitment by Participant:
- Active participation in all one-on-one sessions
- Completion of on average of 2 hours of homework per week
- Engage in conversation with team and managers during the course
Commitment by Sponsor:
- Recognition of time commitment in project and priorities during the training period
- Engage in conversation with participant during the course, for at least 30 minutes per week
